題目：Describe something you learned from your mistake

It is undeniable that learning something from mistakes is one of the effective ways for people to make progress, and that is how I grew up like most of my peers did. The personality that I want to talk about is the being punctual, and I got this good habit from a considerably serious mistake I made approximately five years ago if what I remember is right.
At that time, I was a senior student in college preparing my dissertation/thesis for my degree. I have to admit that I really had procrastination at that time, and to tell the truth, my procrastination was a bit serious. What I mean is that I could not finish all tasks that my supervisor gave me on time. And I was even sometimes late for meeting my supervisor. Knowing me quite well, he emailed me at least 3 times, saying that I should hand in my thesis before 17 p.m. 12th June. And he would arrange my oral defense for the thesis before holidays of other examiners.
If I couldn’t meet the time, I needed to wait for another two months to take the oral defense and receive my degree. Because of my procrastination, I did not submit my thesis before the deadline. It was totally out of my imagination that I could not receive my degree on time, so the job offer I got was cancelled. I waited in my college for two months with doing nothing every day and meanwhile most of my classmates were working in their dreamy companies. That was really a sharp contrast in my mind.
Finally, I received an email from my supervisor emailed me again that every mistake in our life could become the lesson that would teach us a lot. From that case, I changed my bad habit immediately, and I can say the best medicine for procrastination is the loss that we suffered from after making serious mistakes.
